I am 17 years of age I feel like my parents don’t love me much, I try to show them but they don’t seem to me to care. In looking for affection I think of having a mate, who would love me, is this a sin to God? Am I allowed to be in a relationship at this age?

There’s nothing in the Bible that would prevent being in a platonic relationship at your age. But to avoid unnecessary strife within your family or community, you should also consider traditional and cultural issues. Romans 12:18 says that if possible, as far as it depends on us, we should live at peace with everyone.
