As I was reading in Mark (14:51-52), I got to the part where Jesus is being led away and then, right there in inspired scripture, in a heavy scene, God sees fit to have inspired Mark to write that there was a dude in a sheet walking behind them and the guards tried to apprehend him but he slipped out of his sheet and ran off in the buff…
If that’s not comic relief, I’m not sure what is cause I laughed and laughed at that. Can you provide any insight as to who or what that was about?
It does paint a humorous picture in an otherwise serious event. Some think the boy Mark made reference to was himself. He would have been about the right age, and he did hang out with the disciples, his mother being a major financial supporter of the Lord’s ministry.
