Was Deut. 28:68 Fulfilled?

Q

I have a question about Deuteronomy 28:68 which says : “And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.” I was wondering if this was ever fulfilled and if so when.

Several commentators believe this prophecy was fulfilled beginning in the time of the conquest of Jerusalem by Titus in 70AD and ending with the complete expulsion of Jews from the remains of the city by Hadrian in 135AD. One Bible commentary explained it this way. “Numbers of the captives were sent by sea into Egypt (as well as into other countries), and sold for slaves at a vile price, and for the meanest offices; and many thousands were left to perish from want; for the multitude was so great that purchasers could not be found for them all at any price!”
