Do We Have Little Strength?

Q

I agree with your interpretation of Romans 11:25 that the timing of the rapture is based on a number instead of a specific date. If so, do you see the big push for promotion and acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle, as well as abortion on demand to be a final “big push” of the enemy (Satan) to try and delay reaching the number? And is the twisting freedom of speech laws to try and stop Christians from sharing the gospel a sign that the church has “little strength” as the Lord said in Rev. 3:8? That our influence is being diminished, making the great commission more and more difficult?

A

I think it’s safe to say that the enemy is pulling out all the stops to slow down the conversion rate of non believers. And it’s clear that the true Church’s influence on society has declined substantially in recent years. You don’t have to be an expert to see that restrictions on free speech are primarily aimed at suppressing the Biblical world view.

Paul said this would be a sign that the End Times are upon us. And it’s not just apparent in the secular world. He said the time would come when even those who claim to be believers will only have a form of godliness while denying its power (2 Tim. 3:5). He said that many will not put up with sound doctrine but will only listen to those who tell them what they want to hear (2 Tim. 4:3).
