Thanks for sharing your knowledge of scripture with us. My question is: there are more than a few who believe that you do not have to believe that Christ is God (Son of God) in order to be saved. I know that Scripture teaches that faith in the Cross and what Christ did on that Cross alone is what saves, but is belief in Christ as God part and parcel to having saving faith?
I believe the Bible makes a bullet proof case for the divinity of Jesus. And from a theological standpoint His death could not have been sufficient to pay for our sins unless He is God. Remission of sin requires the shedding of innocent blood, and there’s never been another innocent man.
I don’t believe it’s necessary to believe Jesus is God in order to get saved. But in my opinion, no Spirit led born again student of the Bible can avoid coming to that conclusion after being saved.
