Doesn’t Satan Know?

Q

I have recently found your website and would like to thank you for your incredible insight into the book of Revelation via the Revelation Times articles you have written. They have certainly answered many questions I had and are BIG faith increasers!

My question is in regards to Satan’s knowledge of the end times. Am I correct in assuming that Satan knows of coming events such as the rapture (even though he doesn’t know the exact timing), the Gog/Magog war, the rise in power of the anti-Christ, Armageddon and the 2nd coming of Christ, and the fact that he will be bound for 1000 years and then loosed for a “little while” until he is thrown into the lake of fire?

Does he know this, and more importantly, is he ignorant enough to believe he can change the course of these events to his favor? Or does he know he’s doomed for eternal punishment no matter what he does? Hate must be his motivator?

A

Satan’s plan right from the beginning has been to try to change God’s mind about things.

For instance, he seems to believe that if he can steal enough souls, the Lord will have to bend on His requirements for salvation and let some slip thru, not being able to stand such a great loss. If He does, then Satan will have a claim of discrimination against God and can leverage his own deal.

In that regard, he’s no different than we are. Which of us hasn’t at one time or another tried to go against God’s clear will for us, thinking that our way would work better, or that we could bend Gods’ will to ours? Satan’s just a more powerful being whose had more time to plan his strategy. Plus, he thinks of himself as God’s equal. (Isaiah 14:14)
