Forever Or 1,000 Years?

Q. Why do people insist Ezekiel 40-48 is the Millennium when in 43 Yahweh twice says exactly how long this condition will last? He never says a Thousand years, He says For Ever.

A. The duration of the millennium, which is also called Israel’s Kingdom Age, was not revealed until Rev. 20:1-6 where it’s mentioned 5 times as being 1,000 years long.

In 1 Cor. 15:24-28 Paul said that after Jesus has destroyed the last enemy, which is death, He will hand the kingdom to His Father. Since there will be death in the millennium (Isaiah 65:20), this will take place at it’s end, after which all believers will enter what’s called the eternal state.

Comparing this to Ezekiel 43:7, we can see that the millennium is not the final state of the creation, because God said He will live among the Israelites forever, meaning beyond the millennium and for all of eternity.
