Please help me understand what the Lord is saying in Isaiah 5 where He says through the prophet that He will take away the hedge from the vineyard? Is the hedge symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the vineyard symbolic of Israel or maybe us as Christians?

The Lord was speaking to the Southern Kingdom (Judah) and was referring to the supernatural “hedge of protection” he had placed around the Northern Kingdom (Israel). Isaiah 5:3 says the prophecy is warning of Israel’s coming destruction at the hands of the Assyrians. Isaiah 5:7 tells us these references to the Lord’s vineyard are symbolic of Israel, so I don’t think there’s any reason to see the passage as pertaining to any one else.
