Held From The Rapture To Serve In The 144,000?

Q

Do you know if there is any Biblical support for a true Jewish believer today who feels he could possibly not go up in the pre-trib rapture in order to be used as one of the 144,000 in Rev. 7? I personally don’t see where God would withhold the promises made to His bride, the Church (even for one or two believers), in order to use them as witnesses during Daniel’s 70th week. However, I do see where it is going to be an awesome responsibility for those who are chosen. I can only imagine!

A

The Church is a third designation of mankind along with Jews and Gentiles (1 Cor. 10:32). It is no less than a new race of man made up of believers who had formerly been one or the other (Ephesians 2:14-16) but who the Lord no longer considers to be either (Galatians 3:28). He would not deprive a believer of Jewish descent of the unimaginable promises made to the Church in order to have him serve in a lesser capacity as one of the 144,000. To do so He would have to break the guarantee of our inheritance of which the Holy Spirit is a security deposit. Such a thing would be impossible for Him to even consider.
