I agree that being reborn of the spirit is all that is ever required to be saved and the only good works that we can do are those requested by the Lord. I know that many of us often either don’t hear or ignore His Voice. What I question is what about those who refuse to listen or even believe His word. Can anyone be reborn and still think like that? I know that there is always hope for them, but how can they claim to be Christians?
I’ve found many believers who ignore parts of God’s Word and some who refuse to even discuss those parts they’ve decided to ignore. End times prophecy is a good example. But if you’re saying the people you refer to refuse to listen to or believe any of it, then I would be skeptical about their salvation because a person would have to believe part of God’s word to be born again. Otherwise, how would they know what being born again means? After all, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).
