I would like to know what the Bible says about getting acupuncture. Not any of the chakra, chi, yoga things, which I understand what all that opens you up to…just the acupuncture for medical issues which I have been recently reading that that it would help with.
In my opinion, the Bible does not prohibit any medical procedure per se. What it does is prohibit the worship of any other god (Exodus 20:4-5). If, in the process of receiving a medical procedure, other gods are acknowledged, or worshiped, or their “powers” are invoked, then we’re violating God’s word. If not, then we’re not.
While I don’t think believers can be made subject to a pagan religion, I do think it’s important for us to know that the practitioner we choose is not invoking any pagan religious ceremony in the preparation for or execution of whatever procedure we’re having, and to make sure we credit the one true God for every healing, no matter what method we use in the process.
