Q. Have you found anywhere in scripture that the False Prophet has to be a man or could it be that the person could be perhaps the fake Mary that has been appearing to people over the years. It seems to me that she would fit the profile of someone who could bring all the other religions of the world together after the Rapture takes place. Hope you can help me with this, it’s been on my mind for a while.
A. The term false prophet appears three times in the Book of Revelation (Rev. 16:13, 19:20, 20:10). In Rev. 13:11 the false prophet is introduced as a beast who comes out of the earth. Numerous other references consist of personal pronouns, all in the masculine gender. To me this means the false prophet is a male and also is human. By contrast the Marian apparition is a supernatural being who appears in human like form, but always as a female.
