Is There Enough Time?

Q

Thanks for all your thought provoking work on this website! I have one question. In your previous messages, you’ve mentioned 2018 as being a possible time for Jesus’ second return. Subtracting 7 years for the tribulation, this would put the rapture sometime between now and somewhere in 2011. My question is: Is it reasonable or feasible to imagine that 1) the battle of Damascus would occur, 2) Ezekiel 38 would occur, 2) the temple would be rebuilt and in service in such short amount of time? Unless I’m not understanding your timing, I believe you’ve stated the 3 above things would happen before the 7 years of tribulation begins. Thanks for the clarification!

I think there’s enough time. Remember how quickly the Berlin Wall came down? For my 2018 scenario to be accurate the Battles of Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38 would have to happen before the end of 2011, which is a year and a half away.

The Temple doesn’t actually have to be in service for the 70th Week to begin. It just has to be in service before the anti-Christ makes it desolate in the middle of the week. The Jews can re-instate the Old Covenant with just the altar which has recently been completed. And somewhere in there the Church will have to disappear.

But keep this in mind. 2018 is an estimate based on my understanding of Matt. 24:34 and Psalm 90:10. Though I think it’s Scripturally justifiable, it’s a possibility not a prophecy.
