Q
Do you think it’s OK for a Christian to teach their children about Jesus through the Easter bunny? If the motive of the person’s heart is sincere and one of “I’m teaching them about Jesus” does that make it OK? Does our Lord approve of such things?
A
I wouldn’t presume to speak for the Lord, but I’m personally uncomfortable with the idea since it seeks to legitimize the pagan intrusion into what should be the church’s most holy and joyous celebration. It would be much better for parents to begin teaching their children the real story of the resurrection. It proves the Lord’s death for our sins was sufficient and means all believers can now live forever with Him. No one is too young to begin learning a lesson like that.
