In John 14:3, when the Lord says He will come again to receive us unto Himself, it sure seems like He’s referring to the rapture. Since He’s speaking to believers, it can’t be His Second Coming that He’s talking about because we (His church) have to be received before He comes about seven years later. Do I have this correct?
Yes, I agree with what you’ve said. In John 14:2-3 Jesus wasn’t saying He would come back to be with us here where we are, He said He would come to take us to be with Him there where He is, which is in His Father’s house. This means He was speaking of the rapture.
Even though He never mentioned the rapture of the Church specifically, this is one of those places like John 11:25-26 where if you already know about it you can see it in what He says.
