Do Jewish People Go To Heaven When They Die?

Q

When Jewish person die, do they go to heaven or hell? Based on Salvation, I would think they unfortunately would go to hell because they rejected Jesus in their heart and His offer of salvation. However, I know the Jews are God’s chosen people, so sometimes I struggle with would he do that? I just don’t know how much Favor the Jews have with the Lord.

A

In Romans 2:28-29 Paul said,

“A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.”

In effect, he was saying even Jewish people have to be born again to be acceptable to God. This statement supports the Lord’s teaching that no one can come to the Father but through Him (John 14:6). Jew or Gentile, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again (John 3:3).
