OSAS After The Rapture?

Q

Having just read your interpretation of the ‘Parable of the Talents’, I have a question for you.

You explain that this parable refers to those who bury the word of God, and therefore lose appreciation for its value and consequently their insight. If they are followers of Christ does OSAS still apply?

A

By its placement in Matt. 25 as happening at the time of the Parable of the Ten virgins, we can place the timing of this event as being just after the 2nd Coming. The Church has long since disappeared and as I’ve written on several occasions, I don’t believe that OSAS continues after the Rapture. In other words it’s a blessing solely for the Church.

I base this view partly on the parable of the 10 Virgins (Tribulation Survivors) where five formerly had oil (the Holy Spirit) but ran out and were barred from the Kingdom and partly on Rev. 16:15 which warns tribulation believers to stay awake and keep their clothing (righteousness) with them.

So no, I don’t believe that OSAS applies to those in the Parable of the Talents.
