Do Protestants Have Sacraments?

Q

I never heard any church but the Catholic church use the word ‘sacraments’. Are there sacraments in the Protestant church too?

A

A sacrament is something having a sacred character or mysterious significance. Some protestant churches use the term “sacrament” in reference to communion and baptism. Others call them ordinances. But regardless of the name, these are the only two that are generally recognized as such in Protestantism.
