Since there is no country resembling America in the end-times prophecies, and it looks as though our current administration is going to be the tool that takes us out of the international picture, should we fight our government’s systematic destruction of the Constitution? Would it be considered idol worship to make an effort to defend the traditional American way of life if God’s Word seems to indicate such an effort would be futile?
It’s important to remember that although some Christians live in America, it’s not our permanent home. Our citizenship is in Heaven (Phil. 3:20). Nor are we called to fix America, even if we could. We are called to live lives that demonstrate our gratitude for the free gift of salvation we’ve received, and to prepare ourselves for the day when the Lord returns to take us to our permanent home.
