I know that we are to take care of the earth and animals and not abuse them, but is there anything written specifically that says that? Also, does taking care of the earth and animals override all that man tries to do as far as living here is concerned?

Psalm 24:1 says, “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.” Adam and Eve were told to fill the earth and rule over all its creatures (Genesis 1:26-28). In effect, that makes us stewards of God’s creation. Therefore we have a responsibility to preserve both the Earth and everything in it. The problem is created when extreme views of any kind are allowed to prevail. Godless people at both ends of the spectrum have made a mockery of things.
