Can you tell me if there is any verse in the Bible which says something to the effect of “God takes the righteous away early to spare them from evil”? It seems that I remember reading something along these lines at one time, though I can’t remember if it was biblical or if it was merely someone’s opinion.

The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
As humans, we think it’s a terrible shame when a young person suddenly dies due to illness or accident. But if that young person is a believer, or below the age of accountability, he or she is being spared years and years of time in this dark and dying world. From an eternal perspective, an early death is a great blessing because it gives deceased believers a head start on eternity.
