Q
Re: Romans 3:30. ” Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.” It is obviously differentiated between “by faith” and “through faith” as if the former is for the Jews, and the latter is for us. Can you shed some light upon this?
A
Paul used two different Greek words here that both can mean “by”. Oddly enough, the first one is more often translated “through” instead of “by” and the second one is more often translated “by” instead of “through”. It almost looks like he inadvertently reversed them.
That said, Paul’s primary point was that both Jews and Gentiles are justified by (through) faith.
