I was wondering about Luke 21:24 When Jesus speaks of the times of the Gentiles, what time frame is this? I recently saw that Olmert is ready of give over complete control of the Temple Mount to the Palestinians, would this tie in to the times of the Gentiles?
In the strictest of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7, the Times of the Gentiles began when Babylon conquered Israel in 586BC and end with the establishment of the Lord’s kingdom on Earth following the 2nd Coming.
Many correctly see the re-unification of Jerusalem in 1967 as a sign that the Times of the Gentiles are coming to a close. But even a casual observer can see that Gentiles are still trampling over Jerusalem. Luke 21:32 hints that all the Lord’s prophecies of verses 24-31 will come to pass within the lifetimes of those being born when they began.
