Thank you for your awesome website. I have recently been baptized, when I was prayed for the lady praying for me had a prophetic word. She said I would stand tall like the trees of Lebanon. I’m not really sure what that means. Is there any scripture in the Bible about this topic?
The cedars of Lebanon were so straight and tall the masts of great sailing ships were made of them (Ezek 27:5) They were also used in the construction of the First Temple. Sometimes God likened the most powerful Kings of the Earth to the cedars of Lebanon because their pride and arrogance made them think they were as majestic and indestructible as these magnificent trees (Isaiah 2:12-18).
This prophecy could mean that you’ll stand strong and tall for the Lord. Or it could mean that you’ll become proud and arrogant. Or it may be alerting you that whether you become one or the other is a choice you’ll have to make.
As you would with any prophetic word look for independent confirmation before you accept it, so that “every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses” (Matt. 18:16).
