Where Does The Constitution Say That?

Q. Thanks for your article, There Is No Seven Year Tribulation. There is reference to the constitution in this article- could you be so kind as to point out where the constitution “forbids the persecution of Christians and the promotion of other religions”.

A. The First amendment to the Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights and prohibits the making of any law respecting the establishment of religion or impeding the free exercise of religion. We’ve all seen reports of governmental agencies at various levels interpreting this amendment in such a way as to actually violate these provisions. In the process Christians are often being restricted from the free expression of our religion in public to avoid upsetting others, while certain other religious expressions are being encouraged to demonstrate our country’s diversity.
