Joseph was a picture of Christ, therefore Rachel his mother is a picture of Mary, and if Israel could only listen to the prophets, they all would be saved! Why then, if the Christian can see the ties to the Old Testament, the Jew can not see the same thing? As for what I see today Rachel is still crying.

Both the Lord (Luke 19:41-44) and Paul (Romans 11:25) explained that the Jews have been supernaturally prevented from seeing these things. Jesus said this was because of their failure to recognize Him and Paul said it will continue until the Lord is finished dealing with the gentiles.
