Why Won’t They Listen?

Q

Thanks so much for your insight about scripture. I love your website and know that what you teach is in accordance with God’s word.

I have noticed that lately friends and even some family members look at me like I have lost my mind, when I witness to them about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As I see prophecy events happen right before my eyes I have a new concern for those who do not know my Savior. I feel like we as Christians have failed to do what God wanted us to do and it makes me very sad. The Oprah’s and others of this world have so undermined God’s work that when we do try to witness for Him we are laughed at or scornfully told we are Bible Thumpers, fanatics etc. Are other Christians having the same problems and feeling the urgency of witnessing to family and friends as our time here seems to be very short?

A

One of the great frustrations we face in the End times is that even many people we think of as believers don’t see the signs around us. No wonder non-believers look at the church and with the exception of what we do on Sunday morning can’t see any difference between us and them. Those of us who cling to a literal interpretation of Scripture are actually growing smaller in number. The Bible predicts this, saying the falling away from the truth by “Name Only” Christians is a sign that the End is near. (2 Thes. 2:3)
