Today I was asked a question that I was unable to answer as I have heard great preachers say opposite things. After the rapture will people who have heard the gospel but not accepted it get a second chance here on earth like in the Left Behind series?
As I understand it, people who haven’t heard the gospel, or who have heard it but neither accepted nor rejected it will get at least one more opportunity after the rapture. This explains the large number of people who come to faith during the time after the rapture and during the Great Tribulation. They’re called Tribulation believers and many of them will be martyred for their faith. Rev. 7:9 and Rev. 20:4 speak of them.
People who have heard the gospel and rejected it will likely not get another opportunity. 2 Thes. 2:9-12 says because they refused to believe the truth, God will cause them to believe the anti-Christ’s lies, and they will perish in the End Times judgments.
