Is it right to ask Jesus to come into my heart or do I just confess Jesus as Lord and what He did on the cross? I was told it is wrong to ask Jesus to come into my heart, as a prayer of salvation and that it is not Biblical. Thank you

Someone’s toying with you. The Lord is so thankful that you’ve received Him as your Savior, He’s certainly not going to insist upon some formula language. He knows the intent of your heart, after all. If you believe that you’re a sinner and want Him to be your Savior because you believe He died for you, that’s all that matters. He knows what you mean. The actual language is irrelevant.
