Pray for little Rebecca and our teacher 5-9-25

This week, we have two important prayer requests and a new outreach opportunity!
Quick links to the other parts this week:
Pray for our teacher
One of our teachers has been struggling with gallstones for a long while now, and she suffered an excruciating attack during our VBS week. She tried to push through, but couldn’t, and after much encouragement, she agreed to go to the hospital. The doctors said she needs it removed and were amazed she had endured the pain after seeing the amount and size of the gallstones.
Pray for little Rebecca
Little Rebecca noticed that the water her mom had on the stove was boiling. Instead of telling her mom this, she wanted to be helpful and take it off the stove herself. But it was too heavy and spilled all down on her! She has extreme third-degree burns down the left side of her face all the way down her torso and leg and is in extreme pain. Please pray with us for her pain and healing!
We are so grateful for this medical team who have been as gentle as possible dressing her wounds. She is in extreme pain. Here she is day one, Tuesday:
On Saturday they called in the plastic surgeon to look at the skin grafts she would need. They expected extensive grafts would be needed based on the level of burns when she was admitted. He was first very encouraged to see no pus when he lifted the bandages. And he saw that her skin was already regenerating! Based on the new skin present, he hoped she would not need skin grafts, but we would wait a few days to see.
Because it takes a certain level of health and energy to be annoyed, we’re always grateful when kids start getting annoyed at treatment!
On Monday, he came again to check on her, and her skin was healing so quickly that he decided to discharge her! He said that at this point, because she is healing so well, her greatest risk is now an infection from being in the hospital. They’ve given her strong antibiotics, and she needs to return every two days to change the bandages. Thank you Jesus! I’m so amazed and so grateful!
Continued Blind Outreach
A larger association of blind people asked for our volunteer to come and share about Jesus with them. ♥
Thank you so much for all your prayers and for being on this journey with us!
