This week in Mexico 4-24-26
Here’s a glimpse of our week of outreaches in Mexico.

Our escuelita – kids’ group
We’ve been meeting only at the park because of the tick infestation in our area. And the concrete sports court protects the kids from the dirt where all the ticks have been. But after a lot of research and talking with local vets and ranch experts, we found a treatment that is safe for pets and kids.
We treated the whole outside area where we usually meet at Olga’s, and we had our first group there this season!
We’ve still had great times at the park this week, but it’s so nice not to have to bring all the tables and supplies there and back each time. Hooray!

Grocery Delivery
Our deliveries usually arrive after 5 pm. Which is great because the neighborhood men are home and they generously help us unload the truck. But this time they showed up early, and so the guys from our construction crew ran over to help us!

New Project!
We have finished with Jaime and Vanessa, and now we are helping the last young family who received donated materials a while ago. If you don’t remember, we received a lot of donated building materials, and some friends felt prompted to help younger families who were struggling, and who are outside our usual projects. After the families received the materials, we’ve been going around with our crew to help them make use of them! The mom and young son of this family are part of our escuelita, and she and her husband just found out that they are expecting another baby! They live in a one-room home, and with the donated materials, they are trying to build a second level for a bedroom. This will be such a blessing as their son grows, and especially as they welcome a new baby into their family. I’m so excited we get to help them!
I realized we haven’t gotten any good intro pictures yet, so I’ll make sure to have some in the next update. I’d love a farther away shot to show the home and what we’re working with, and one of this sweet family. The mom and son have to be away during the day, visiting grandma, because construction is too dangerous for them to stay, and the dad works in the nearby shopping area as a parking attendant. So we’ll arrange a time when they’ll all be there to introduce you to them!
Onto the project pics! Our crew has been raising concrete block walls. And doing any concrete work means we will need a load of sand and gravel delivered (which always makes the dogs in the family happy. They love to lie on the sand mountains!).

God is doing amazing things here, and I’m so grateful for your prayers and support that make it possible. Thank you so much for praying with us for those we serve together! ♥
