Regarding The Trinity
Published: August 1, 2022 (Originally published: August 28, 2006)Regarding the concept of the Trinity, I wish to ask, whats the appropriate way to attempt understanding? Is this an issue that we wont truly understand as long as we are in the flesh? Ive heard of 2 ‘explanations’ of the Trinity, and Id like to know how you see it. The first view was that there is One God, and He has 3 functions, like you are one person but you function as someone’s son, someone’s husband, someone’s father etc. The other view was there are 3 Personages, yet united, like in the government there are the 3 branches, executive, judicial, and legislative … all are still government, yet distinct branches. I can see the logic in both views but they can’t both be right. Help?
The Power Of The Nephilim
Published: August 2, 2022 (Originally published: August 11, 2010)In your essay on the Nephilim, you allude to their ability to foresee the future, and say their powers derived from Satan. My understanding has always been that Satan is not able to foresee the future. Otherwise, he would have tried to prevent the crucifixion of our Lord.
Where Will Old Testament Believers Live?
Published: August 2, 2022 (Originally published: August 13, 2010)Will The God-loving Jews from the old testament, or just the leading Patriarchs, like Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob etc.actually live in this city with the “Bride of Christ” or will only “The Bride of Christ” live there. Where and who will live in the rest of the “The New Earth”. The New City will be 1500 miles cubed so who will live there and who will live in the rest of the New World?
Was Jesus Called a Nazarene By The Prophets?
Published: August 2, 2022 (Originally published: August 18, 2010)Matthew 2:23 says: “And he went and lived in a city called Nazareth, that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled: “He shall be called a Nazarene.” I can’t find any OT prophet saying that. What was Matthew talking about?
Where’s The Holy Spirit?
Published: August 3, 2022 (Originally published: August 1, 2010)I was wondering if you could tell me where the Holy Spirit is. Is He presently on the earth or is he omnipresent? Also I was wondering where the Holy Spirit will be at when the church raptures. I mean if the restrainer is taken away like it talks about in Thessalonians that would mean the Holy Spirit would dwell in heaven, right? I would greatly like to hear your insight on this question it would help me gain a greater depth of insight into the word of God.
Joining The Church
Published: August 3, 2022 (Originally published: August 1, 2010)I would like to know if there is anywhere in the Bible that says in order to belong to a local church you have to be voted on by the members of a church. I may be wrong but I think that it is a denominational “custom” and the early church didn’t require a vote to accept someone as a member. I thought when you repent of your sins and trust in Christ that was the basis for membership into the church body. Please correct me if I am wrong and could you please back up any answer with scripture?
The Lord’s New Name
Published: August 3, 2022 (Originally published: August 8, 2010)Revelation 19:13 says, “He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.” I looked up the name “Word of God” and I could not find it in any other place but this. In the book of John he is called the “Word”, “the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Is this of some significance or is this just Christ by another name? Also in the previous verse John seems to see a name written on Him that know one knows but he himself. Why would John tell us this with no explanation of what it is or could mean?
More On The Sower And The Seed
Published: September 4, 2024 (Originally published: September 20, 2015)How do you interpret the parable of the sower in view of your stance on OSAS. Would you suggest that the seed that fell on rocky ground equates to those who do not receive the word and therefore are not saved? But what then of those who fall away in the heat of testing, and the ones whose growth is choked by the cares and worries of this life? Are they “Saved” in the first place? Or would you say that they never really received the word in the first place?
