Doesn’t The Church As A Whole Believe This?

Published: February 20, 2023 (Originally published: February 4, 2012)
Q

I read an article where you said, “The promise of protection through times like this is not to the Church as a whole but to individual believers. To those who seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, God promises to meet our needs” (Matt. 6:31-33). Who is the church as a whole? Are you saying those with faith in God’s promises will have their needs met and the church as a whole doesn’t believe this? Isn’t the Church as a whole the Body of Christ?

Do We Have To Forgive Unbelievers?

Published: February 20, 2023 (Originally published: February 8, 2012)
Q

I found your web site as I was seeking a Biblical answer for a friend of mine who asked me the following: “If a non Christian person wrongs me and never asks for forgiveness do I have to forgive them?”

I told her that at some point she is going to have to forgive but she disagrees. What do you suggest I tell her as she is a new believer and I am afraid that she is going to let a root of bitterness grow, etc.

Is Our God The One And Only?

Published: February 20, 2023 (Originally published: February 17, 2012)
Q

I recently read about a young man who quit the school choir rather than sing a praise song to Allah. That got me thinking. With what you know from your studies of religion, can we know for sure that our God is the one and only?”

What Is Our Treasure In Heaven?

Published: February 21, 2023 (Originally published: February 3, 2012)
Q

Thank you so much for the help and for your ministry. I have a question about treasure in heaven. What will it be? Will it be a house or mansion or gold or silver? We were having a discussion on this at church and wanted to know. I thought just seeing God and living forever would be the ultimate treasure. But would love some scripture on this.

Authority Over Demons

Published: February 21, 2023 (Originally published: February 13, 2012)
Q

In Luke 10: 17-20, the seventy return with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name.”

Jesus replies, “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather, rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Why are they not to rejoice in their authority over demons in Jesus’ name?

In reference to Luke 15:7,10, if we are to know no sin in heaven, how is it possible for the redeemed in heaven to rejoice over a sinner who repents? Please help. God bless your ministry.

Abolishing The Rule Of Kings

Published: February 22, 2023 (Originally published: February 14, 2012)
Q

Does 1 Corinthians 15:24 imply that nations and kings will be abolished including the rule of the saints after the millennium? I know that the millennium and eternity are so intertwined together. I would not say there is no mention of life in eternity but rather that Revelation 21 is both the millennium and eternity together because New Jerusalem is eternal. Will our talents and the arts exist in the millennium and eternity? Will I be able to use the things I love in the millennium and eternity?

Can We Turn Away From Him?

Published: February 22, 2023 (Originally published: March 26, 2013)
Q

When my son was younger he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. Since coming back from war, seeing what he saw and doing what he had to do, he now says that all religions are the same. Controlling and killing each other, all man made. I know that once we are sealed, nothing can separate us from God. But can a person ask the Lord to forgive him, believe in Him, and then turn away from him?

Why Was She Born?

Published: February 23, 2023 (Originally published: March 9, 2011)
Q

My day is incomplete without paying a visit in your site. Thank you very much for the insight that you give us regarding the word of God. I have a friend who was born after her mother was raped. She doesn’t know her father. I strongly believe that God is all knowing and people come from God and he even knew how we would be born. But I want to know in the case of this friend of mine if was it God’s plan that she was born out of rape? If not, then why did God allow her to be born in such a situation?
