More OnThe New Jerusalem

Published: January 6, 2010
Q

Yesterday, I was reading chapters 20, 21 and 22 of Revelation. I noticed a note I put on one of the pages, which was a quote where you describe the New Jerusalem (or celestial city) as a “low orbit satellite”. I feel somehow most comfortable with this concept and when I read the quote to my husband, he felt exactly the same. It just seems to make sense. But I have a question about this and I do hope that you will be able to give a suitable (scriptural) answer. We have never heard anything like this from other sound teachers of prophecy/eschatology. Would you say that most of them agree with you on the future location of the Great City? And if they do, why haven’t they mentioned it in their writings/teachings?

Staying Saved During Daniel’s 70th Week

Published: January 6, 2010
Q

If Tribulation believers are responsible for their own salvation, what is it that they must do (or not do) in order to maintain their salvation? What will their “falling away” consist of? How can they “maintain their salvation” with no help from God; without the Holy Spirit within them, when they are assaulted by supernatural forces — compulsions beyond mere human endurance? Are they abandoned by God? — “You’re on your own, buddy.” Are they beyond God’s grace and mercy? Exactly what will they have to contend with? If the Temple has been desecrated, how can they participate in the mandatory sacrifices and Holy Days?

Paying The Abortion Tax

Published: January 5, 2010
Q

Thank you for everything that you do for all of us out here in the world! Your site is a blessing to all of us! I do have a question about something that I have never had to even think about before. With the new healthcare plan, the Obama administration will take a monthly tax fee out of our checks to pay for abortions, how do we handle this situation with GOD? I am at a loss here.

Where Will Old Testament Saints Live?

Published: January 5, 2010
Q

Thank you so much for your site. I have been a believer since I was a preteen, I am now in my late 50’s, and I have always been interested in the end times. I have learned a lot from your site. However, I have another question about the millennium. If I understand correctly, the church will be in New Jerusalem, the tribulation saints serve in the temple, those who survived the tribulation will live on Earth to repopulate it with the Jewish people living in Israel. How about the Old Testament saints? I know they were in Sheol until Jesus went to get them and they are in Heaven now. But where will they live during the millennium? Thank you so much for your work in the faith.

Can Children Be Lost?

Published: January 1, 2010
Q

If you read Matthew 18 : 6 and 14 you will know that the little ones among us need to have faith in order to be saved and that they could also be lost. I believe there is not one being in the entire mankind who doesn’t need our Lord Jesus to save him from being condemned, even the little ones need salvation otherwise they could be lost. Moreover read also Psalms 51 : 5 to see that you become a sinner since the time you are conceived in your mother’s womb.

How Does The River Flow?

Published: December 31, 2009
Q

I have been listening to your mp3 series on Revelation for two days and I have to take a little break to try to work out an idea that has cropped up. If a river flows out of the temple mount and runs in two directions and one of the directions is toward the Med. Sea, then I can’t see how the Med Sea flow into the river won’t change the direction back toward the other end. The other end of that flow would be the Dead Sea. Isn’t the Dead Sea way below sea level? And if so, won’t the water try to reach it’s own level which would be the level of the Med Sea?

Maybe I missed something but I can’t see water staying at two levels in the same river without some kind of lock system like the Panama Canal. How much of Israel and Jordan (the whole mid east) would go under water if the Med Sea gets a chance to flood it? I’m stumped.

What Is The Fate Of Practicing Jews?

Published: December 29, 2009
Q

Thanks so much for your site, I often read questions that I’ve had my whole life on here, and I learned much more than words can describe. Simple question for you. Do practicing Jews go to hell? Since they don’t believe Jesus is the savior, what is the fate of the Jews that practice Judaism?

Killing Innocent People In War

My niece wants to know where in the Bible does it state that it is OK to kill innocent people in war…like Iran or Iraq?

Measuring Birth Pangs?

Published: December 23, 2009
Q

With each flair up around Israel or new announcement toward a “One World” government I, like so many other Christians get excited believing “this is it” and that I should see my Savior in any moment. But for the sake of the unsaved the clouds clear a bit and things go back to the usual for a while until the next blow up with Iran, etc.

I was wondering on a personal note if you have noticed or heard from anyone else any sort of pattern in relation to the birth pangs spoken of in the Bible. By pattern, I am referring to the amount of days between each of these skirmishes or the amount of time these skirmishes take place and if the times are getting “countably” closer.

It is just a curiosity thing as I look with joy for anything that pertains to our Rapture. Thank you for all you do.

Soul Sleep, Or Alive With Christ?

Published: December 22, 2009
Q

I’ve heard convincing “arguments”, both supported by bible verses, that we 1. go to heaven when we die and 2. sleep in the grave until the last days when we are called to Christ. If God exists outside of our concept of time (eternity), is it possible that both views are correct – our body sleeps in the grave until the last days, but our spirit goes directly to Christ in the last days (and the non-believer’s spirit goes directly to the judgment)?
