A Covenant Between God And The USA?

Published: January 21, 2010
Q

In a recent article a Christian author and activist made this appeal on the internet to God’s remnant “If you want to be a part of something to stop the free fall we’re in as a nation, I need to hear from you soon” (regarding her prayer to beseech God to rescue our nation). This person said “I believe it will touch the heart of God and maybe, just maybe, cause Him to take note of our distress, hear our cry, remember His covenant with our nation and, out of His great love, relent from the judgment we deserve.” What covenant could this person be referring to? Do you know of a covenant God made with our nation?

Osama The Anti-Christ?

Published: January 20, 2010
Q

I’ve been doing a lot of reading about the rapture and the end times. I read that after the Church is taken home that one religion will be pushed and it will most likely be Islam. So I was wondering what you thought about Osama Bin Laden being the anti-Christ?

More On Matt. 24:34

Published: January 18, 2010
Q

I have one question. Some translations of the scripture states that “SOME of the people of this generation will still be alive when all these things happen”. Since He says “some”, could that be an indication that, rather than 70 years (a normal life span) it might be 80-100 years? Because, if you think about it, we hear about 100 year old people all the time. So “some” of this generation would still be alive. Are there any other scriptures that would limit the period to 70 years?

More On The Assyrian Anti-Christ

Published: January 13, 2010
Q

I saw on your site an answer to a question about an Assyrian antichrist. I read an article on this which I think seems to make sense. In it, (the author) posits that ‘Asshur,’ translated in our Bibles as ‘Assyria’ is really another name for the antichrist. He then goes on to show how he thinks this is Nimrod, the first ruler and king of Babel. And this being so, he will be the one “who was, now is not, and will be” who will amaze the earth. A lot of it sounds plausible. What do you think?

The Beast Of Rev. 13

Published: January 11, 2010
Q

The beast in Rev 13: 1-3 seems to be referring to the restored Roman empire as a group. Then in verse 3 the beast seems to be referring to just one of the horns but still referred to as the beast. Does the beast begin as all of the horns and then is led by just one? Also in verse 3 is the fatal wound describing one of the horns or of one man only.

Also the beast begins to describe things about God that only one who has been in heaven personally could talk about. Could this be that Satan entered into the body of the beast when the beast was fatally wounded and now it is Satan living as the anti Christ?

Protecting Israel

Published: January 11, 2010
Q

Do you think it is possible that God is for the present time using America in a sense to protect Israel from its enemies? In your opinion, even though America has been guilty of encouraging Israel to give up its land in recent times and is now encouraging them to do so again in the name of peace, and has sinned against God in so many ways, do you suppose that America has been under God’s protection as a tool to help Israel?

Millennial System Of Commerce

Published: January 8, 2010
Q

I’m curious. Last night as I read thru your article on the Revelation, you talked about the Babylonian system of commerce which looks a lot like our world’s system of capitalism and all its trappings. So what does God’s system of commerce look like?

Rapture. Now Or Later?

Published: January 7, 2010
Q

We have some relatives who are Christian, however, there is one thing that really puzzles ( and upsets a little) my husband and me about them. When we talk about the Rapture and living in the end times, they certainly don’t seem to believe that Christ’s return is very soon. They even seem to try to take away some of our “Blessed Hope” by stating that the Rapture may not come for another 20,000 years! Why would born again believers appear to not be looking forward to Christ’s return?

Worried and Anxious

Q

I understand that we really don’t have an option on this new tax for abortions, I keep feeling that the only way to get beyond it is to quit our jobs and live in shacks somewhere. I am so worried that this new rule we live under is going to drive families apart because some will pay the tax anyway and some will not at any cost. I wont be one that will be paying it. I have felt a lot of anxiety about events in the USA for a little while now and I also feel that I am not the only one. Am I right in feeling that the church is becoming anxious too and that our time is extremely short now?

Leaving My Property Behind

Published: January 7, 2010
Q

I have been a farmer and crop duster all my adult life, and something dawned on me recently that I would like your thoughts on. We have worked hard to overcome heavy debt all these years, and my wife and I are finally debt free and own some land. We have no children, and I would like to somehow leave the benefit of this land toward bringing those left behind to Christ, after the rapture. Also, I would like to see it benefit those who become believers after the rapture, as we all know that these will be terrible times. What dawned on me was “Who would I leave it to?” All the believers will be gone, so who could I trust to administer the proceeds or sale of the land. I wonder how wills will be probated, if a group of people simply disappears.
