I’m curious. Last night as I read thru your article on the Revelation, you talked about the Babylonian system of commerce which looks a lot like our world’s system of capitalism and all its trappings. So what does God’s system of commerce look like?

I think in the Millennium the Lord will take the world back to an agrarian system of commerce. Several places speak of people owning vineyards and groves of fig trees (Isaiah 65:21, Micah 4:4). Ezekiel 47:10 says there’ll be fishermen, and of course there’ll be shepherds, too. I don’t believe there’ll be any commerce in the New Jerusalem.
