Where Is Paradise?

Published: January 28, 2009
Q

In a recent question you said that Paradise is part of Hades where those who died in faith went to wait for Jesus to die for them. You said after the Resurrection He took them to Heaven. But in 2 Cor. 12:2 and 4 Paul spoke of going to the 3rd Heaven which he called Paradise, and in Rev. 2:7 it speaks of the tree of life being in the paradise of God. Based on these two verses which are written after the cross and happened after the cross, it appears to me that paradise is not part of Hades.

Daniel 12. A Year For A Day?

Published: January 28, 2009
Q

I have a question concerning the mention of 1290 days and the mention of 1335 days in Daniel chapter 12. Are we talking literal days in the tribulation or is Daniel referring to days meaning years. Between the time of the Muslims not allowing the Jews to sacrifice ( prayer ) at the wall and resuming after the 1967 six day war was approximately 1290 years. If you add 45 days ( years ) to that, one would come up with the year 2012 when the abomination that causes desolation is set up and sacrifice is removed again. In your opinion – is there any merit to this idea? I just heard this theory but I can’t quite justify it in my mind yet. This theory also sets up the rapture to take place after the tribulation starts. That would also mean that the peace agreement would be signed fairly soon — like this year.

A Split In The Arab World?

Published: January 27, 2009
Q

I have a question for you. concerning the war predicted In the Prayer of Psalm 83, and the Ezekiel war of 38-39. There is a split in the Arab world right now, on one side you have Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan. On the other you have Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Algeria and Sudan. The Egypt group is on the same side as Israel, but not in support of Israel, (not openly against Israel) The Iran side is anti Israeli. There is a strong rift between these two groups. Not solely because of Israel but other things as well.

My question is: Is this rift between these two groups supported by prophecy, or do you think this present situation is one that needs to be ironed out between these countries for prophecy to move forward?

1948 Or 1967?

Q

God Bless You and thank you for your website. I have received a blessing everytime I visit. It seems that when I have a question, a majority of the time I find you have just answered my question before I get here. I also look forward to Monday mornings when I get to read your articles. I was wondering why you think that the last generation started when Israel became a nation. Could the last generation be the one that was beginning when Israel took Jerusalem in 1967? Thank you for your time.

Submitting To Authority

Published: January 21, 2009
Q

RE: submitting to authority. The pastor of the church I go to just put out a membership pamphlet — we are a very new church and this is the first written stuff I’ve seen about membership. He has really changed his tune and is calling for tithing and commitment and submitting to the church leaders authority. My pastor used to say that the only membership requirement was wanting to worship God, study Bible and hang out with Christians/Believers, but now seems to be doing the authority thing. What is the End Times Bible truth about submitting to church leaders? Especially when they appear to be heading into the End Times apostasy and when they require it?

Spring Rapture?

Published: January 19, 2009
Q

Hello. My brother said the sermon at his church last night was about a Springtime Rapture. Have you ever heard of this? He said the pastor taught from the book of Ruth and another book, which escapes me at the moment, and he said that things point to a Spring Rapture, which included the time between April and August. I’ve never heard of the time of the year for the Rapture being pin-pointed. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful website!

Judging Angels

Published: January 19, 2009
Q

Hello, first I want to tell you that I love your site. I’ve learned so many things and have enjoyed the studies you’ve conducted. I want to thank you for all your hard work and the wealth of information you provide everyone.

The question that I have has to do with a verse in Corinthians. In Corinthians 6:3 Paul says “Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?” Frankly, I have no idea what that means. I’ve wondered does it mean we will judge the fallen angels, or if it means something completely different.

I’d appreciate it a lot if you could clear up for me what Paul is trying to say. Thanks again, and God bless.

The Beast … System Or Man?

Published: January 18, 2009
Q

Thanks for your great articles. I recently received from a friend a DVD called “Cracking the Prophetic Code”. He says the beast is a system, not a man. I stopped watching after about 20 minutes when I realized this was what he was teaching. My thought is in chapter 19 the beast is cast alive into the lake of fire. Only a man could be cast alive, right? Just a quick note from you would suffice, or could you do an article? I really appreciate your columns. I have on occasion used them at our home fellowship.

Babylon The Great

Published: January 18, 2009
Q

I wanted to ask you if you’ve seen where the US is pledging something like 700,000 dollars to rebuilding ancient Babylon. An internet news site had an article on it, and at the end of the article they quoted a verse and I can’t recall where but I’ll paraphrase. “The land will be uninhabited forever, the land will be desolate…”

I believe the Bible speaks clearly on Babylon and that the ancient city will be revived and become an economic center for the anti-christ. It seems they quoted that verse to say the efforts to continue rebuilding ancient Babylon, modern Iraq will be futile. What do you think? I am overwhelmed at the moving of God before our very eyes! Our departure is near!

What About The Fallen Angels?

Published: January 16, 2009
Q

I have a question about Satan’s angels. Does the Bible offer any clues as to their motivation for joining Satan in his rebellion? While people have the weak excuse that they have never seen God, Satan’s angels have all been in His presence. Satan wanted to be “like the Most High”, but all his angels knew that they would be subordinate to him. So why would they betray God when they knew He was real and quite likely to get very mad? What could the devil have offered them?

Also, what becomes of them after Satan is bound? From the Bible, it looks like Satan himself is the only one who is imprisoned for the 1000 years. What are they supposed to do during that time? Wouldn’t at least one of them have the pride and initiative to take over Satan’s place? They already back stabbed God, why would any of them have a problem doing it to Satan?
