More On Speaking In Tongues

Published: May 29, 2008
Q

For a long time my friend and I have been trying to figure out the issue of speaking in tongues. The Bible talks about different tongues, various tongues, strange tongues, other tongues and new tongues. It also mentions the tongues of men and angels. How many kinds of tongues are there? And why do some seem to repeat a few words over and over when speaking in tongues?

More Pre Trib Post Trib

Q

I really like your prophecy site, with the exception of a couple of discrepancies. The big one is that the Christians will not be raptured out before the end of the great tribulation. The Bible scriptures make it very clear about this, and it’s very misleading to Christians to teach otherwise.

We must be prepared spiritually, physically and mentally, and be prepared for the spiritual warfare that will greatly increase in the tribulation. I’ve included scriptures backing this up, and I will send more to you if you like.

That is why the great Christian who tells of Christian Prophecy and wrote the book, “The World’s Last Dictator”, revised his book to pre-wrath instead of pre-trib, after many years of research and prayer.

Please tell me how you can read these scriptures and decide the Christians will not be here until the end ot the great tribulation? No one will be ready, if they believe what you’re trying to convince them of. You need to reconsider or their blood will be on your hands.

How Can He Be Saved?

Published: May 28, 2008
Q

I’m writing in reference to your article about being saved thru grace. My ex of 35yrs committed adultery 25yrs ago 1979. I forgave him & we went to counseling for some time. We were saved & baptized along with our young children shortly after. My ex became a Sunday School administrator of a small Baptist church & I a Sunday School Teacher. We were very involved but got hurt & left. We never got back into the church again. Shortly after my ex became very bitter. He left me for a 20 yr. younger woman who was his best friend’s wife. He has gained a lot of weight & has beaten his new wife several times, getting arrested. She isn’t allowed to go anywhere without him. I do believe he would kill her if she ever left him.

I have forgiven my ex but will always love him. God has been very good to our children & has restored to me more than I lost.

I believe in my heart he is sorry but he knows he can never come back again. Sometimes I wonder if he was only saved in his mind & not his heart. How could he do the terrible things he has & be truly saved?

The Rapture And Psalm 90

Published: May 26, 2008
Q

I think often about Psalm 90:10 and wonder to what extent we should interpret it as having relevance to the length of the final generation. Psalm 90:10 describes typical life spans of today but many live longer, so I wonder if its meaning may be more relevant to something else – namely the last generation and the rapture.

I wonder if it means that the rapture will likely occur before the last generation exceeds 70 years (1948+70=2018) but that it may last up to 10 years longer (2028) as verse 10 says “by reason of strength”. I wonder if means that the efforts of mankind, specifically believers that care to help reach the lost until the last possible minute, might extend the generation beyond 70 years?

Isaiah 17 And Revelation

Published: May 25, 2008
Q

Israeli PM Olmert announced “talks with Syria” and the Golan Heights are on the table to trade for peace, I was trying to make the connection to the book of Revelation. I’ve done an extensive study on Revelation to be used for presentation to older youth.

I believe the Oracle of Damascus us almost upon us, but I’m trying to find the “wording” that links it to Revelation as I present it. Where do you see the connection (if you do)? I would appreciate any information you could give me on it.

The Wave Offering

I’ve seen different accounts of what is “waved” at Pentecost/Shavuot – wheat and barley. Does it mark the end of barley (spring) and beginning of wheat? Can you shed some light?

Conditions For Going In The Rapture

Published: May 22, 2008
Q

What conditions are there for us to be raptured when we are born again? What brings me to this question is Matt. 25:1-13 the parable of the 10 virgins, 5 with oil and with out oil. It looks like 5 did not make it.

Israel At 60. Follow Up

Published: May 20, 2008
Q

I saw your article on “Israel at 60, whats next?” I saw that you said that it all could happen within the next 10 years…is that true? I mean, no one knows the day or hour I know but I just want to know how you came to that calculation. Also, if the Rapture is to take place before the Gog-Magog attack, and if what you say about all that happening within the next 10 years is true, then the Rapture should take place at the most within the next 3 years. What do you think?

Unclean Children?

Published: May 20, 2008
Q

I pulled this from an article and it got me thinking…

“The Bible plainly says that every child living in a home where neither parent is saved – under the protection of the blood – is automatically rendered unclean. Apostle Paul said it clearly, “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy” (I Corinthians 7:14).

So then a child of 2 unbelievers is “unclean” and may not go in the Rapture because the parents make the children holy? Your thoughts on this?

Acts 2:23 And The Trinity?

Published: May 19, 2008
Q

Hello and thank you for your site. I am hoping to get your feedback. I was reading an opinion of another as he was trying to use Acts 2: 22, 23 in his analogy to help explain the Trinity, particularly vs.23 in reference to the “determinate counsel”. He is implying that the determinate counsel is the Triune God.

I think what the Apostle Peter was saying is that the determinate counsel was the high priest and his bunch that sought to persecute Jesus as foretold by God in PS. 2:2,3. I don’t think Acts 2:23 is a good example for the Trinity, what do you think?
