The Olivet Discourse: Part 3
Published: March 19, 2017 (Originally published: March 16, 2017)There’s a time line woven through the Olivet Discourse beginning in Matt. 24:15. In our conclusion we follow this time line to correct some major mistakes that have been made in interpreting this critical teaching.

The Olivet Discourse
Published: May 21, 2024 (Originally published: May 9, 2007)Many scholars teach that the Olivet Discourse was written for the Church, but you say the focus is on Israel. If you’re right why does the Olivet Discourse even appear in Mark and Luke when these two Gospels are mainly Gentile in their focus? Please explain.

Did Jesus Mention The Rapture?
Published: July 26, 2011 (Originally published: July 25, 2011)I have always wondered if Jesus made an oblique reference to the Rapture during the Olivet Discourse in Mt. 24.28 and Luke 17:37. His statement about “where the body is, there the eagles gather” appears to be a direct reply to the disciples’ question about the whereabouts of the woman grinding grain who was taken (Lk 17.35). That verse’s parallel is ordered differently in Matthew (Mt 24.41), and no interjected question is mentioned, so the connection may be less apparent in Matthew. I have never been very satisfied with other explanations of Jesus’ remark about bodies and vultures, and I would like to think He was not totally silent about the Rapture in the Olivet context, even if He left it for Paul to tell us the mystery.
Are We Still 1000’s Of Years Away?
Published: May 7, 2015 (Originally published: May 13, 2010)With regards to end time prophecy, some theories that I have read lately suggest that specific prophecies (including the Olivet discourse) are being made to ‘fit’ with events that are happening at present and are just a matter of interpretation; they teach that the end times could still be thousands of years away. I would appreciate your thoughts.

The focus of this session is the timing of events of the 2nd Coming, and why the parables of the Two Servants, the 10 Virgins, the Talents, and the Sheep and Goat judgment are not meant for the Church.
