I see Ephes. 1:10 as a reference to God’s plan to bring heaven and earth together again under one will, His. This will restore the Creation to the state of peace and harmony that existed before the Fall. In 1 Cor. 15 Paul wrote the the Lord has to reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Cor. 15:28)
