I would like to know what you have to say Biblically about tattoos. I am seeing more and more people with them. Many of my Christian friends are now getting them as well. Is there Biblical evidence against tattooing the body?

Tattoos were forbidden in the Old Testament (Leviticus 19:28). While there is no specific prohibition in the New Testament, we are called God’s workmanship in Ephesians 2:10. I personally believe one should think long and hard before defacing the workmanship of someone else, especially if that someone else is God. As Paul said in 1 Cor. 10:23, “Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial.”
