Q. I’m sure you’ve been asked this question before and I hope this doesn’t sound stupid, but I’m wondering what do you think happens with unborn babies at the time of the rapture if their mother is not a believer? Obviously if the pregnant mother is a believer she will be taken in the rapture anyway. My understanding is that all children under the age of accountability will be taken in the rapture regardless of their parent’s beliefs…is that correct?
A. Yes, I have answered questions like this before, but not for a while, so let’s do it again. According to my understanding, the Bible says that life begins at conception (Psalm 139:13-14) , and that all children under the age of accountability belong to the Lord (Romans 7:9).
That being the case, at the rapture perhaps millions of mothers-to-be will experience spontaneous miscarriages and for a few moments at least, the world will be left without a single believer, or pregnant woman for that matter.
