Is it true that during the millennium children will be born to populate the kingdom? I don’t know where I got the idea there would be no new children born, so I need you to straighten out my thinking.
There will be children born on Earth during the millennium, but not in the New Jerusalem. In Zechariah 8 the Lord spoke about the time when He will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Here is what He said; “Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each of them with cane in hand because of their age. The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there” (Zech. 8:4-5).
Speaking of the same time, He also said, “Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed” (Isaiah 65:20)
