Confronting And Convicting

Q

I met a Muslim girl who attends a great Baptist college here in the US. She expressed to me that she is Muslim, but was having spiritual issues. She came to this university hoping to resolve them, but is still Muslim after attending this university for three years. I told her that I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, she just looked at me and nodded her head. I felt ashamed because I just dropped it. Please give me words/ scriptures that I can quote to get her attention. I need to know to “hook” her to read the Bible. We really are strangers, but she keeps popping up in my mind. I do not want to lose her!

This girl came to a reputable Christian college to resolve her spiritual issues and after 3 years she is still a Muslim. Now you’re looking for a sentence or two that will accomplish what 3 years of immersion in Christianity hasn’t done. That’s a tall order!

If you want to “hook” her to read the Bible, pray that the Holy Spirit will soften her heart. It’s our job to confront people, but the Holy Spirit convicts them. It sounds like the confrontation has been done. If you believe God is calling you to help with the convicting, understand that He will give you the words to say when the time is right. In the mean time prayer is your most powerful tool.
