Recently, articles have started to appear linking modern human DNA with that of ancient non-human creatures called Neanderthals. The implications of these findings seem to be enormous, both from an “evolutionary” and a Christian point-of-view. How do these findings square with YOUR view of scripture?
These “findings” are only significant to the extent that they’re consistent with God’s word, because if they’re not then they’re not legitimate. It’s not that they’re lies necessarily, but they are errors. God was the only eyewitness to creation. He told us how it happened and He didn’t say anything about non-humans or any other kind of a pre-Adamic race. He said He created animals and mankind on the same day. If we can’t take Him at His word for the first thing that happened, how can we take Him at His word for anything?
