In Isaiah 45:7 God claims that He makes peace and creates Evil. I’m only interested on the “Evil” part. So God is responsible for the evil around the entire universe now that he created it? I ask that because if a scientist created some form of dangerous phenomenon among human species then he is held responsible for whatever damage that phenomenon will do.
The main thrust of Isaiah 45 is the universal creative power of God. He created everything. When He said He created evil He was referring to Satan, a created being who became evil and spread his evil throughout the world (Ezekiel 28:13-16). In the sense that God created Satan, He created evil. However, since Satan chose to become evil he is responsible for his own actions and will suffer the consequences (Ezekiel 28:17-19). Unless we choose to accept the remedy God has provided for our sins (evil), the same will be true of humans as well.
