Thank you for your wonderful and educational website. I have just finished reading Ezekiel 25 and found that it bears remarkable resemblance to Psalm 83 ie the coming war between Israel and her closest neighbors. Do these chapters support each other?
It’s clear that several of the same people groups are in view in both passages. But Ezekiel 25 was fulfilled at the time of the Babylonian captivity. Israel’s neighbors rejoiced when Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem and in fact aided him in doing so. Therefore God had Nebuchadnezzar conquer them as well. This difference between Ezekiel 25 and Psalm 83 can be seen in the fact that in Ezekiel 25 the nations were given over to the people of the East (Babylon) whereas in Psalm 83 they will be given over to Israel.
