Your answer on giving to secular organizations has brought me to ask you this question. What is your opinion on giving to candidates in political parties? In my state this year,we have a candidate who I know is a born again believer. I will definitely vote for him, but do I give to his campaign?

I believe as Christians we’re supposed to use our giving to store up treasure in Heaven (Matt. 6:19-21). We do that by helping the less fortunate in the Lord’s name, and by supporting Kingdom work on Earth.
If you believe a particular candidate has been called by God to run for political office, and that if elected, he’ll devote his efforts to furthering the work of the Kingdom, then I think it’s appropriate to support him financially.
