As you know I am so desperate to be healed that I have been considering attending Bible College next year in the hope that it will discipline me to exercise my spiritual muscles more to believe for my healing. I am very confused and have been praying about this matter but I cannot seem to get an answer. I know that something needs to change in my life as I simply cannot continue to live like this from a mental, emotional and spiritual point of view. I am thirsty and hungry for the things of God and yet cannot seem to get into the Word and pray much. I know that I don’t have to go to Bible College to be healed but what do I do?
I don’t know anything about the school you want to attend. Many so-called Bible schools actually inhibit their students’ growth in the Lord by focusing on intellectual rather than spiritual issues. Head knowledge is not going to help you. You need to get your heart right, and that can only be done through one-on-one time with the Lord in His word, and by watching Him work in your life.
One thing you can do is take the focus off your problems and begin sharing His love with others as a sign of gratitude for what He’s done for you. Get involved in a ministry of some sort that will let you express God’s love to those less fortunate. Remember, God didn’t give you this illness, and doesn’t like the fact that you have it. But something is blocking your healing and by ministering to others you may discover what it is.
