If I Kill Myself Will God Let Me Be With Him?

Q

I believe in Jesus. I’m tired of losing this spiritual battle. My addiction is ruining my relation ship with God. If I kill my self will he still let me be with him? I love him so much but I hate this body. There’s so much darkness surrounding me.

If you’re truly a born-again believer, killing yourself is a sin that God will forgive. But it’s a way out that will drastically impact all who love you for the rest of their lives. It also will deny the Lord the ability to bring the promise of Romans 8:28 into your life. If you keep close to Him and do the hard work of laying aside your pain moment by moment, when you are finally set free you will be someone others can turn to in similar bondage. Imagine the lives you could help.

Paul said, “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Cor. 10:13)

Instead of becoming dead to the world have you tried becoming dead to yourself? Romans 12:1-2 says to offer your entire being as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Commit yourself totally and unconditionally to God to do whatever He wants with you. That way you’ll learn what God’s will for you is and you’ll receive the power to achieve it (Romans 12:3-8).
